The Presentation Evening, was held in the Maldon Town Hall on 19th March and was well attended, a buffet supper was provided by the Lions Ladies.

The evening started with a short film of the 2002 race, following Lion President John Elson, welcomed everyone, and invited the Mayor to present the trophies (see race results for winners). This was followed by a presentation to the three nominated charities, who each received a cheque for £4,000. Spokespersons for the charities, thanked everyone for their efforts in raising a fantastic amount of money, which will make a real difference to people's lives.

Our thanks to the Mayor, and Maldon Town Council, for allowing us the use of the Town Hall. A raffle was held which enabled us to make a donation of £115 to the Mayor's Charity Fund.
